Training for Life - Equipping for Service
helping parents provide Christ-centred education within a Biblical framework.
Education that takes the Bible seriously!
Welcome

Head TeacherWelcome to The School of the Lion website.

The School of the Lion is a Christian independent school at Churcham, just west of Gloucester, for students from 4 to 19 years old. The school is part of the work of the educational charity – Christian Families Educating Together (CFET).

This year we are celebrating 24 years of Christian Education.  We remain committed to our core vision to help parents provide Christ-centred education within a Biblical framework.  As a learning community we aim to provide education that is consistent with the teaching and values of the Christian home and church – where Jesus Christ is honoured as Creator, Saviour and Lord of every part of life.

About us

The School of the Lion is the name given to a group of families in Gloucestershire who co-operate and support each other in educating their children in accordance with their desire to dedicate the whole of life to Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

The School helps parents in developing a desire in the students to know Christ, to be changed more into His likeness and to start to discover their individual calling in God’s world.

Our Aim

Our primary aim is to help develop a Christlike character springing from a heart surrendered to Jesus. This will enable the children to take a positive and effective role in every aspect of life. The children study a broad curriculum from a Biblical perspective which equips them with the skills appropriate to their age and ability.
